WP shock on e-bay
Spotted this on e-bay, if it goes for less than £100, it could be a good upgrade. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180378986261&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:Watchlink:middle:uk It is the same model of shock I use, but mine has ride height adjutment, so you will ...

Re: Firing on one cylinder
sounds strange, and the 60 miles to a tank could be a big clue. Reading some of the old workshop posts I saw one which had similar fuel consumption and it turned out the choke was stuck open on one of the carbs.........that could be a similar problem and would lead to one cyl running badly when the ...

the pull away stall is normal, you get so used to the midrange torque that you have to remember that you need a bit of throttle or a slip of the clutch to get going.
Glad you like it, if you have loud pipes as well the grin never stops

Re: CB1100F
Not sure it does it for me.......... :x unlike the retro icons that others have mentioned [the Paul Smart Duc, the CB11, the ZXR etc] which mimic the style of the original, this one is being retro for the sake of it, and looks nothing like anything we remember. overall a bit too much of a mishmash o...

Re: Tank Bag advice and recomendations please
Phil, as you can see from the pictures on this thread http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14338 I use an Oxford Magnetic tank bag and I rate it highly. It is quick to mount with the magnetic base [and i have no damage to the paint work, but I always check the surfaces to ensure the...

Re: Crash bobbins - which ones do you rate?
Cheers for the answer, you have touched on some of my concerns in your discussions., [like the possibility to save a section of the faring, but damage the frame]. And your comment about hitting your knee looks a valid concern based on the side view. Your photos have me asking 2 more unrelated questi...

Crash bobbins - which ones do you rate?
Looking to fit some crash bobbins to save the body work if the worst happens, but some of the ones I have seen look more cosmetic than structural. Whos got them and how do you rate them for strength, ease of fitting, looks etc? And if some one has been unfortunate enough to test them, I would like t...

Re: AMQ46's storm
whats the bike ride like with the wp shock :?: Its a fairly basic emulsion type shock from WP with only rebound damping adjustment [12 clicks] not the top of the range fully adjustable. But it has adjustable ride height [so no need for spacers] and I had it valved and sprung for my weight by Revs R...

AMQ46's storm
Slight bit of pimping today! No not just giving it a damn good wash after the France trip, or taking off all the duct tape that I used to make sure the paniers dont scuff the paint. I also fitted the Moriwaki style belly pan.............Very pleased with the way it looks, just need to add some white...

Re: Maybe a VTR owner
My god!!..........I just looked at the web page on the RD! that was a labour of love , or complete madness. Did you do that or did you buy it like that? the world needs more people who think like that! I have a mate up in scotland who thinks the air cooled RD400 is the ideal starting point for a dra...
