Re: Brand New SP1 - 0 miles
Never had fuel in it..... What, not even in the factory??? Hmm.... That's a bold claim.
Anyhow, what a waste of a bike.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Fitted new horns... The OE one had stopped working (worn out maybe ), managed to find a pair in the scrappies, a 2008 Honda Civic Type S, two tones! Managed to get them both in the same space as the original, using the brackets that they came on (being Honda horns they were nice and compact) Ab...

Re: back brake pads destroyed!!
Seen something sort of similar with my Dad's old Renault Scenic where he'd had a caliper off it to change the pads and had twisted the caliper/hose before refitting (and didn't notice). Eventually when the hose kinked, it jammed the caliper on and ran the pads down to the metal in a couple of miles....

Re: Beware the Helmet/ Dash Cam..
People love it though, don't they? Give the man in the street a little bit of power over his fellow man and it goes straight to his head. Give him a dashcam and a website to upload it to and he thinks he's the 5-0. I loathe them. They're usually found stuck to the windscreens of the myopic bell-end ...

Re: Exhaust mounting confusion....
Thanks very much all.
Yes, the rear mounts were on the outside of the footrest hangers as well! No wonder I couldn't bloody line them up. All sorted now and looking much better.

Exhaust mounting confusion....
Hi folks, Could somebody help me out please? I've just noticed that the R/H end can (standard cans) has its mounting bracket on the inside of the foot peg bracket, but the L/H can is on the outside of the foot peg bracket. It makes the L/H can look a little out of line. I can't find any info in the ...

Re: Snapped plastic doodahs on carb
Thanks Mik, I've ordered the ones that Wicky recommended - heartbreaking paying 26 quid for a pair though!

Re: Snapped plastic doodahs on carb
Not through over-tightening unfortunately - I accidentally leaned on the front carb before I had seated it fully in the rubber, it just wonked over a bit and caught the elbow on the head somewhere. Rather a fragile little thing and Mr Honda wants £50+ for the valve assembly. Judging by the demand fo...

Snapped plastic doodahs on carb
Hi, I've snapped the damned plastic gubbins for the choke valve on the front carb. I've discovered that gl_s_r has sold a few in the past, but I can't message him as I'm not a big enough poster. Any chance somebody could let him know or otherwise point me in the right direction to get hold of some p...

Re: Help
Lol, way to drag up an old thread! Fabiostar, mine wouldn't rev past 7k and was spitting back through the carbs. Is also slightly more 'interesting' to ride because of the big power pulse. Pulling off isn't very smooth. Find the post on here about setting the cam timing, it's confusing, even in the ...
