Seen something sort of similar with my Dad's old Renault Scenic where he'd had a caliper off it to change the pads and had twisted the caliper/hose before refitting (and didn't notice). Eventually when the hose kinked, it jammed the caliper on and ran the pads down to the metal in a couple of miles....

People love it though, don't they? Give the man in the street a little bit of power over his fellow man and it goes straight to his head. Yes, the rear mounts were on the outside of the footrest hangers as well! No wonder I couldn't bloody line them up. All sorted now and looking much better.
