Re: Quill vs Blueflame

That's good to know. So Blueflame are the DFS (Sofa World) of exhausts.

If I had a choice of any exhaust on my bike I would be either an Acrapovic or a Devil.

Too pricy though!

Afghanistan & Iraq wars £20+ billion (on top of the normal defence budget) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... -20bn.html And this is a defence budget that is being drastically cut to the detriment of of our troops having to pay out and buy their own kit etc. And also leaving the UK vu...

Re: Petrol

I agree with all the comments above especially all the foul language towards the politicians  And they should all go on minimum wage for at least a year, have their expenses taken away, make them travel by public transport, and then maybe they will apreciate how the other half live. Mind you sa...

I hope he is alright as he has had some health problems recently. :silent: Maybe he is just busy or not got access to computer at moment. He did mention his one breaking and having to use a friends. I think it's just a case of us all having to wait a bit longer, I'm sure he will be back with us soon...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Went for a ride first thing this morning, went down the cafe and had breakfast, came home. Decided to do something with the bike........ Stripped the fairing off (for the first time!) unbolted clocks etc and removed the front fairing bracket. Gave it a quick wire brush to remove surface rust and spr...

Re: Best Sounding Exhaust?

That's what I have been led to believe. I'm sure others on here can confirm whether it's the labels that differentiates when the quality dropped, but I think that's right. Yes that's true for blueflames the earlier models was a lot better than the stuff they have turned out the last few years, lot o...

Re: Dirty air filter

So they are just bit's of foam then like the original Honda ones Except K&N's version. When reading the K&N instructions it led me to believe they are blanking caps, meaning they are no longer needed with the K&N. Am I missing something here! or are those instructions just badly written?...

Re: Best Sounding Exhaust?

No worries your welcome dude. Still considering them but am afraid the final price will be close to what they cost new. I was thinking the same thing as Bluflame are offering 20% discount at the moment. Newer ones are not as well made as the older ones though! https://www.blueflameperforma...

Re: Best Sounding Exhaust?

oooh yeh I like the sound of them. Not heard of thunder pipes before. Are they road legal with removable baffles? I wonder if they are cheap to buy and where they can be bought from, and if they do a stainless (cheaper) version. After all us VTR'rs are not just buying an exhaust we buying ...

Re: Ebay Finds (unusal/cheap/rare/or just good value)

I don't know, just going with what he told me. If anyone is interested in the one on fleabay but don't believe me, give the guy a call. His number is on the listing. I'm not bothering and have given up with that one! No baffles does not bother me but being marked not for Road Use does. I would have ...

Re: Dirty air filter

did it come with those 2 little sub filters? what do they do? I would like to know the answer to this one as well. Got an extremely grubby K&N in mine and noticed the two triangular foam filters in corner of airbox. When checking out the new K&N'ss noticed they come with blanking filters fo...
