Like a teenage dream of what a bike should be. Cheers for the feeback Del. I have not adjusted anything yet as they seem to run fine. How do I adjust the &q...

judder now gone
I used to own an old ZZR which ate front disks so I know a warp when I feel it.
I put some cheap ones on my VTR and thought it was warped disks. Didnt get worse though and when I changed to better H style disks the judder went away.

Didnt Ride have a go at stopping oil spills from overfilled trucks? Trouble is, I remember how I drove before I learned to ride. They didnt mention bikes much when I was learning. Didnt hit anything or have anything hit me but I used to hoon my old car down bristol roads. The filtering thing is anno...

is it normal or isnt it?
Just read this from another thread "This problem seems like the standard VTR idle-clunk-die problem. Usually rectified by getting the carbs balanced and turning the idle speed up slightly". I am a bit overdue on my 15 thou mile service so perhaps I do need balancing. It only happens very o...

idle clunk die problem
I was asking about this problem cos mine does it occasionally. My Honda Dealer said it was fairly normal so Im not too worried. Running a bit late on my 15000 mile service too so maybe my carbs need balancing.
But what causes it? Anyone know?

welcome to vtr land
Its a great bike. Good v twin torque means you can ride smooth or hard depending on your mood. Had mine for since April and am just about to fit Racing Cans, which should liven things up nicely.
Cheers

keep pushing
Have you got Hartgate to take the bike back yet? They really dont have a leg to stand on. But, with things like this its worth working one em steadily, keeping a record of correspondence and following up on any threats to talk to trading standards. I really wouldent try to fix it yourself. Who knows...

catching on turn over
my 1999 vtr kina catches when idling every once in a while. It feels like the clutch plate half engaging. I dont think its a real problem because my Honda dealer told me its a characteristic of all vtr's. does anyone else get it? Does anyone know what actually is happening?

new race cans e.g. leo vinci or....?
Ok, got a 1999 vtr firestorm and were the best of friends. But my lil bro just got a cbr with a blue flame exhaust and his bad boy sound is annoying me. Got another mate offering Leo vinci open race cans (titanium) for £130. I imagine they'll more than do the job. I assume the price is right but is...
