Oliver's Mount spring cup meeting April 13/14
I've wanted to go to one of these meets for a while, it's the only Roads racing events I can easily get to apart from the TT and the Irish ones. So I've booked tickets for the weekend and will be staying in the van onsite. Wife's coming along so I won't be on the bike for this trip. Anyone else plan...

Re: 9 /10 / 11 Aug. Op Storm Northumberland
Ah. My significantly better-informed other half has reminded me that I won't be back from Portugal until the Saturday night, so I will not be able to make this one after all.
Damn that diary and its long-standing commitments, spoiling all my fun.

Japan update
A Japanese friend told me that there's no point cleaning his motorcycle until the clean-up from the recent tsunami is completed.

Shims for the front exhaust valves both need the same size so it’s lucky I didn’t just by a generic box of single shims. Unfortunately they are not in stock at the dealer so a 5day order from ktm, so I put the old ones back in, fitted cams and cam bridge, then refitted and reset the cct so I could ...

Re: Well you asked for another Ducati build
If you're building your own wheel, I'd suggest you buy the rim pre-drilled to fit your hub size. Starting with a blank rim can be tricky when you can't see the angle each spoke needs to sit in the rim. And measure the offset (how far to the side the centreline of the rim sits compared to the centrel...

I'll be meeting you there at 16.30 Friday as I'll be taking the bike in my van this year. We're having an extra few days down there one side or the other of the riding weekend.

They're some great roads in that location- sadly I was in the van without a bike last time I spent some time there.
I might be able to make this one!

Ah, one of those. Motorcycle News in the UK said: "The Honda SLR650 is a fairly joyless machine that barely redeems itself as a reasonably efficient commuter. Essentially it’s a more heavily road-biased Dominator built at Honda’s plant in Spain, back in the days when the Continental factory’s q...

Re: Happy New Year
I thought '23 was ok- for me, anyway- so if the next one's even better I'll be knackered by 2025!
HNY, all, especially those I rode some miles with. Thanks for your company this year, let's do it again sometime soon.
In the meantime, cheers, all

Thanks, Mac. Does your maths take into account I am booking a whole chalet and will therefore pay 4 x £72.25 = £289? As I see it, Jonesy and Michaela will want one double, but you, Al, Pete and his brother will all want singles. Excluding Nicole and myself in our one, that means you'll need two chal...

Re: From 107 to 128
Start a workshop day thread and then invite us all round one Saturday. We'll figure it out between us, and we'll have a few Storms there to switch parts out until we find the culprit.
