Re: France, many speed traps once away from the ports?
Just remember your fluoro jacket, spare bulbs and GB sticker. And originals and copies of your doc's, reg doc, licence and MOT. Give them copies first, if they get arsey "find" the originals. And have some money for on-the-spot fines- it'll save you being escorted miles out of your way to ...

Re: France, many speed traps once away from the ports?
Yes, it's still the case, there's Brit police around the port area, and they allegedly patrol throughout the area with the French flics. But once you're away a few miles, there's nothing to worry about. Mind you, I saw a French Customs set up with a few bikes near the Belgian border when I went thro...

Yup, that'll tempt you away from a common new Blade, right enough.
Could probably have got one by now, if I didn't keep spending the wife's housekeeping on the Storm

Re: I done got me a Firestorm!
Powerbronze have gold or silver meshed Carbon front mudguards.
£99 each, they're nice.
I have the unvented one- see my pimped pix
Unfortunately they don't do a specific bellypan.
Try searching threads for "bellypan", I'm sure we had a thread not long ago about who does what.

Connecting an Acumen DGV Gear/Voltmeter
Here's how I connected my DGV. WHAT DO I NEED? You'll need: wire cutters strippers a voltmeter heatshrink tube or insulting tape (sic) 2M of twin flex 1mm cross section and a soldering iron capable of heating wires up outdoors, unless you're working in a garage. (I find that you need more heat when ...

Re: Rear cylinder downpipe?????
A tiny bit of coppaslip on the inside of the compressible graphite gaskets makes it easier to separate them later- and I find you can then re-use them. They stay on the inner part of the joint. Last point is that the annulus fitted to the pipe to stop the graphite gasket slipping out can actually fi...

Re: Jetted Carbs.
Dynojet use a different sizing system to everyone else, so their 190 does not equates to Honda's, Mikuni's or Factory Pro's sizes. So 190 in Dynojet sizing might not be too big. Try a plug chop after a 30-second full throttle run and see what it tells you. Also, if you're running race exhausts and a...
