Cylinder head porting?
Hi, Just purchased a set of VTR heads and will be overhauling them over the next month or so. Has anyone any top tips on porting the VTR heads? What have you done & has it worked? I am not looking for mega gains, only a little port cleaning. Any pictures of jobs people have done etc, might help....

Re: Standard Header or aftermarket?
Now that's a short answer. Did you manage to dial them in ok with the standard cam wheels or machine or dremmel to dial them in? Did the existing timing wheel marks work? Is there a change to power? Or torque? Sorry for all the questions but am trying to learn from people who have done it. Big thanks.

Re: Standard Header or aftermarket?
Hi,
It does state it's a VTR one, Ebay Item 331243009205
Could be a special ?????? If I had a VTR I would seriously be tempted.
BTW, How did the camshaft change go? I am looking into this myself and have been reading about your exhaust cam experiment!
Any updates will be appreciated.
Regards.

Standard Header or aftermarket?
Hi,
Seen this picture of a VTR header, looks different! It has the link pipe bridging over rather than the normal flat joint. Any ideas?

Re: Camshaft change
Hi, Thanks for the update's guys. After reading up some more Varadero specs, there seems to be engine version changes (not too sure when the change was) that used the VTR heads! Now that hot after market bits are getting close to impossible to find or affordable if found! Has anyone measured up any ...

Re: Camshaft change
Hi Roger, I have read many VTR tuning threads and your name pops up more than anyone (GURU!), many thanks for all the useful & priceless info you have shared on the forum. I am looking into the rumour that the early 97-98 VTR had a higher lift exhaust cam than the later models! Have you heard of...
