I thought the whole point of carbon cans is that they don't have the weight of steel!
I use Carbon Can Co and their weave and sheet thickness seems to stand up to backfires, thrashing, everything except crashing, actually... (Sore Point. I expect it will heal!)

Dropped my Storm :oops: fitted with a pair of Carbon Can Co straight-throughs on, and one can is sadly no longer with us. I had the choice of fitting the standard cans back on, but it's nowhere near MOT time, so just blanked off the R/H pipe and left the remaining L/H side carbon can on. Lost a litt...

Good tip about choke not staying in position, thanks. I find that if I pull choke fully out, then release it as I start cranking and leave throttle shut it starts even when really cold. Count me in too. Never done a track day, but as I only live about 20 mins form Brands....
Noisy one or nothing... I only put the standard cans on once a year for the MOT- it feels horrible.

Braided lines only work better when they're under lots of pressure. Clutch line is almost no pressure at all, it's only working against the clutch springs, not clamping pads against discs like a brake line. Clutch probs on 97 storm: You can pull away at normal road launches without probs, but when going for it and adding lots of throttle the clutch just makes a graunching noise and locks.
