Clutch switch .? Mine starts without engaging the clutch !,,

It's an Aprilia RST 1000 Futura, same year as my Firestorm 02, same engine as the Mille but tuned for more torque, similar power to a Firestorm. Comes with fuel injection, 43 mm Showa USD forks, Brembo brakes, Big comfy seat for rider and pillion. Not too many on the road ,only 50 registered with DV...

Removed the slave cylinder this morning all looked good , no leaks , moving freely. The pushrod to the clutch moved about 8mm back and forward. Stripped the clutch out ,all looked good no wear, slipping or burning. Deglazed the metal plates with wet and dry put it back together and the clutch is bac...

Can select gear without using clutch, hear a clunk as it engages but no drive,

Semi , 10/40. Haven't done a recent oil change ,

Went out today and after 5 miles the clutch started to slip. Within a minute or two no drive at all. Same thing hot or cold, question does a clutch fail so quickly, and could it be something else ?, Thanks for any help
