Re: Oliver's Mount spring cup meeting April 13/14

Got the van parked up, just about room for two camp beds in the back, so we should be warm enough at night. Not looking great weather-wise but in the interests of stabilising internal and external liquid levels I'm in the marquee and on the beer. Bands are on, so all good. https://i.postimg.cc/9zftH...

Re: The RD400 drag bike

In our defence we were running into a 20mph headwind which must have knocked a bit off the top speed  I would be more than happy with the times you and Tony achieved. I think you both did really well 8) 8) I wonder if Tony has seen my data I found in my previous post yet :?: :eh: :shh:  C...

I've paid for the Thursday night.

Anyone else fancy a rideout on the Friday, and perhaps meet up with an incoming group?

Re: The RD400 drag bike

I spent the first few runs trying to optimise traction control. I had to turn it off to burnout, but then turn it back on again before staging. That shouldn't have been a difficult task but the bike didn't like it at all, and in one occasion I had to kill the engine and reset everything by turning t...

I'd be up for arriving on the Thursday and leaving Monday.
How much extra per night would it be?

Re: The RD400 drag bike

We'll be riding into a strong headwind at Santa Pod on Sunday (just getting my excuses in early!).
But at least it looks dry.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Blade forks reduce the fork limits, and also the turning circle. It takes a bit of getting used to. I used to allow the bike to drop into the inside of a turn (at slower speeds) then pick it up again by adding throttle. Balance the two and it looks easy. However- Storms are known to stall (especiall...

The SP tank extends down into the rear subframe, so you'd have to repackage a lot of the storm electrics and battery at the very least.
You could cut and re-weld it, but then, you could do that with almost any tank.
