Started the job of giving my recently acquired storm a complete service and fluids change this afternoon. Took bell pan off and first problem, one of the stud holes in the pan is snapped and badly repaits - in fact hanging off - so thats been repaired, as I will in time get a full lower fairing. So ...

Noticed in this old thread that someone talked about cutting old exhaust nuts off, then recutting the stud thread with a die, which sounds a great idea!!!!
What have people used to cut the nuts?
Just had a look at mine on my newly acquired storm and they look well rusty!!!!

Before anyone says Blue I could guess that !!!!!
Unfortunately it looks like some joker has painted the subframe and there is no colour sticker!!!
Anywhere else I can find out??
I've attached a pic, not a great one but maybe someone can help

Just gets better and better - it looks like someone has replaced the headlamp unit so it dips to Left - can spend my money on other bits now !!!!

Thanks fellas It was a private sale - and having done more research on mot s there are a few mentions down the years of headlamp masks etc so I am assuming it is a right dipper - as I said earlier the original dealer was well known for parallels . Slightly odd this one in that the dial goes up to 280 but it says MPH on the face of the clock. Coincidentally the supplying dealer us very local to me and always did parallels ad I bought my 98 blade there. I seem to remember there was a method of electronically doing some to the speedo so the need...
