That GSXR has really not been looked after at all well. It has taken a lot of effort to dial back ten years of abuse and it being left outside to rot. It was cheap though and I knew what I was getting into. I was just surprised that the engine has gone south in such a big way

One of these bike purchases has been an unmitigated disaster. Which one though? The solid Japanese 12 year old thoroughbred or the 16 year old Italian with dodgy electrics....... That's one bike I'd give up the wife and kids for :lol: Me too if I had any. The Dukes noises would take some getting used to, but I guess that's part of their character. Like any bike you get to know what it's supposed to sound like so can listen for any noticeable changes. Now where's my Tambouri...

Well, not posted for a while as have been having something of a nightmare with my GSXR 1000. It all started with some unwelcome blue smoke a few weeks ago.
