I am up for Cadwell, Mallory, Donington at some point this year
What Group? Comfortable at inter in any of the above for an MSV or Nolimits standard track days
No Firestorm anymore though. CBR600F3 track bike. Have a Blade track bike but unlikely to be ready

Re: Oil filters
Petronas Syntium 800 eu 5w 40 semi-synthetic, i think is a car oil.
Car oils have different additives to bike oils. Car oils have friction modifiers in them to give good fuel economy. Bike oils have additives developed for wet clutches and and gear train lubrication

Re: Oil filters
I have used alternative filters, always. But i would not put car oil in a motorcycle engine. Yes, the grade may be the same but the formula and function is very different
A motorcycle oil has to look after the gearbox and clutch and generally speaking bike engines rev higher.

I can't remember what fixed the problem. It might have been the shorting wire under the seat

Re: Suspension Experiences?
I had a blade front end (not upside down) and a Nitron. I use to crap myself every time going over the ripples on the exit of Charlies 2 at Cadwell with standard storm suspension. Completely dialed out with the mods even though the front was still a bit soft. I think the Nitron may even be the AMCQ ...

bad days happen
Re: sods law
If it is any consilation, similar has happened to me several times: 1). Stripped and rebuilt a CBR600f3. Dropped it off the stand when finished and it topled over. Broke the repaired fairing and bent a few bits. 2). Classic track day on the VTR (freeride nick and beefy where there but in different g...

Re: E10- now they're queuing round the block for it
Conspiracy theory - all set up by fuel companies Bio fuels have a shelf life (all fuels have a shelf life) and most of us have not burnt much in the last 18 months. It is actually mentioned that biofuel tanks need periodically draining and refilling fresh fuel to prevent degraded fuel contaminating ...
