At the can end, there is a "snorkel"....drill in the space between the snorkel and the outer pipe.

Re the MOT...I am going to get a plate made (like a large washer) that fills the space in again (to be held in with 2 self-tapping screws). This will return it to stock

Regulator/Rectifiers

The later Storms appear to have a bigger R/R fitted with cooling fins.

Do these still blow and should be replaced with a Yam one (preventative maintenance....mine is OK at the mo)?

Ok....was messing with my new (to me!) 'Storm and decided that it needed to sound a bit meaner...... 10 minutes later, 3x 8mm holes and 1 x 12mm hole in each baffle and hey-presto I now own something that sounds like a mini-Lancaster bomber!! 8O I took it for a run in the Lake district on Sunday.......

I have noted your comments. A harsh point, put across well. As for black being slimming, i am not sure i would take fashion tips from someone who obviously has no colour sense at all  I will make sure my next bike has vertical stripes. ROFLMAO :D :D :D ...stripes might be an improvement on bla...

Glad you got that sorted out, sounds like the dealer was fair about it but they should have picked it up before they sold it, should they not? Also, could have given you probs later when you came to unload it. You defo did the right thing. Not so sure on your choice of colour for the replacement bi...

FWIW, now that the money is back in my sweaty hands....the dealer in question was Blackpool Honda. To be fair, once i raised the issue, they offered a refund there and then. Thanks for the welcome guys.... However a problem has developed...... Was sorting insurance out and queried why the bike had no HISS security (everything I read was that this was fitted as standard after 2001). Rang Honda UK and they said that they had no record of a Firestorm with that reg plate. S...
