room for one more?

I'd be up for a ride-out, if it's open.
Post times/place and I'll see you there.

Carbon mudguard-Success!

Just upgraded to a carbon fibre front mudguard. Fancied one for ages, to match the hugger (which is really plastic). Got my chance when bike blew over in the wind (cover must have caught a gust. Anywho, cracked standard yellow one, so needed a replacement. Just told the wife that replacement was £9...

Thanks, Lee, I found that one, and several others, but they're all ticket agencies. Surely it's cheaper to just buy them from the circuit?

Cheap Nitrous kit (really cheap...)

So there's a simple bolt-on nitrous kit on Fleabay. Obvously only aimed at low-capacity engines, but what if you put three or four on and set them all off at once? Drill the top of the airbox and squirt it straight down the bellmouths, and bob's your dad's brother. You could tapes all the triggers t...

Valencia Moto GP in October

I'm bloody going! Meself and three heretics on other bikes are heading down to sun and sangria at the last race of the year. Anyone know how the hell you buy tickets for the circuit without going through bloody touts? Any other circuit's website seems to have a link for ticket sales, but not this o...

EXCEL LONDON bike show

Anyone going to the Docklands show Saturday?

I'll be going, taking my daughter for company if it's not snowing.

Bike blew over last night in the winds, so I'm looking for some spare bits and pieces.

Still rideable though.

That's the "storm" bit, I'm insured for fire.

Aussie HPower tuning parts- high comp pistons, cams etc

I was cruising the web tonight and came across this site- god knows what the prices and shipping are but it's got me drooling...... http://www.hpower.com.au/bike.html Anyone tried this stuff or similar? Presumably super unleaded and anti-knock additives are a must, it probably won't tick over and fu...

Where can I get a Kevlar clutch cover?

ok, ok, I dropped it, and scuffed the clutch cover. For most bikes you can get a Kevlar/ Carbon fibre cover which just glues on ove the top- supposedly to stop wearing through the cover when you drop it, but we all know it's actually to hide the crash damage from when you did already. I've had a tra...

I've got those too

I've got those too, but mine are plain black.- didn't know they did the carbon finish. Those Minx ones are horrible- (IMO) that round bit hangs down like they've just stuck a round mirror onto a shaped one. In the front I've fitted the tear-drop shaped ones from the Powerbronze catalogue. They fit t...

Apologies to Bridgestone 021 rears

Holding my hand up to unfair judgement on the Bridgestone 021 rear. I was blaming the 021, but I changed it for a Mich 2CT (they didn't have the Bridge in stock at the time) and it's still doing what I described above. Turned out to be the 020 front, which wasn't worn down to legal limits (ha...

Running straight throughs will need K&N and Dynojet kit, IMO. And if you haven't already, tickover will need to be set a bit higher, or it'll stall more. Oh, and don't forget to read all the posts about derestricting the original down pipes, if you're using them. If you look inot the right hand ...

RATFAG.
The furious smoking my wife does when she's too annoyed with me to speak.

How's it going with the POLL: Y want a cracker?

Mine's the same. Dropped it on the right hand side, so just cut the end off a Rightguard can and clamped it with a hose clip. Only one straight-through Carbon Can Co on it now, left-hand side so looks odd. Might be swapping it over to the r/h side soon, but the restriction in the collector will rest...
