Re: Possible Turbo Storm
Turbo plan is still there. Been taking to a few people about sorting the exhaust for it. As I've tinkered a fair bit with the engine I'm more concerned about testing it's still going to run ok then will look at the turbo.

That's my mates bike. He didn't do it he just bought it from them. Looks good. Back end isn't that nice and it overheats a bit but pretty cool.

Re: Possible Turbo Storm
ha ha yes. if you look closely you will see the front wheel is held in with a long masonry drill bit. I was hoping the firestorm wheel would fit the blade forks but sadly not. I needed a wheel in place to lift it off the deck so just bunged the storm wheel in. I need to get one sorted but they are s...

Re: Possible Turbo Storm
Quick update as I haven't for a while. I'm quite pleased with the progress so far. More hours cleaning than playing I'm afraid. http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t456/pkingsford21/IMG_2208_zps16ec28c2.jpg http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t456/pkingsford21/9716180B-961A-4720-B745-04BC34FD682D_zp...

Re: Cannot turn engine by hand. Front head install
I had the same thing. Cam chain kept getting snagged up. Couldnt work out what it was. Had the cylinder head on an off about 6 times before I realised what it was. Torqued up and everything. Was frustrating.

I have 4 of the Honda automatic ones if you want them as donor units. Just pay postage and you can have them if they're any use to you.

Re: Another new member
the chains looks immaculate but they've spent their lives in oil so not sure how I would know if they needed replacing or not. is it common for the chains to go or is it just the tensioners?

Re: Another new member
Thanks for the welcome, I have started a thread as suggested but cant work out how to post photos. Also a couple of quick questions. I have the engine apart now so think it would be wise to replace both cam chains and tensioners along with the 4 valves in the front cylinder. I was going to use David...

Hi, Returning member. I owned a storm back in early 2000s for a few years and loved it. I sold it and have had a few different bikes over the years. Decided I wanted a project to fill my evenings and after a decent tax rebate shelled out £400 for a fairly shabby old storm. Usual tatty bits and the f...
