Re: CCT change and engine dies after 4-5 minutes
If it's not that, make sure you haven't pinched one of the carb vent hoses

Re: waterpump seal
Presumably Honda don't put these together with Hylomar Red?? :eek2 :eek2 :eek2 Someone has been in here before... Got it all cleaned up anb have the bearings and seals out. The lip that the oil seal butts against has a 5mm or so chunk out of it and I found the piece between the seal and the bearing....

waterpump seal
My water pump mechanical seal has gone and I'm topping up with coolant after every ride. So the time has come to replace it. I have a parts list but I'm having a little trouble visualising how it comes apart. Once the water pump cover is off, I need to remove the clutch cover. Does the impeller come...

Re: It's in bits again...
Thanks... The breather pipe is only just pushed through the lid and I am not losing coolant through it. I can't see any evidence of coolant leak from any hose joint on the engine or rads. I've changed the rad cap for a new one anyway, I guess it's either that or air bubbles slowly working their way ...

Re: It's in bits again...
After a couple of rides all I can say is...Wow!! the Roger'd forks are a revelation...night and day from the stock items, and the whole bike just feels tighter and more planted. Really pleased with the outcome. Just need to sort my coolant loss problem and maybe upgtade the brakes a little.

Re: Pilot screw broke
Hi popkat, did you get sorted for carbs? If not I have a good set that you can have for the cost of postage. I've had them on a running bike and they've been stored with no fuel in them. The TPS has a crack in the body but still works. All standard jetting (48 pilots from memory) and both the fuel s...

Re: It's in bits again...
MOT passed with no advises! I have a little problem with the cooling system tho... I have the HRC expansion bottle. When the bike is running and hot I see constant small air bubbles in the tank, coming from the overflow tube from the radiator. I've double checked that all the hose clips are tight an...

Under the rear of the tank there are 2 breather pipes. The thinner one has a plastic joining piece about 2 inches from the tank. Is this some sort of ...

Re: It's in bits again...
and for the life of me I cant get them in a position where the notches are in the right place for the tabs to engage whilst not being able to loosen the pair by hand, if that makes sense. Yoy have four tabs on that. two should be bent down and two bent up. (:-}) One method is to remove the top &quo...
