Re: Regulator / Rectifier Modification
To get the connector out there is a small barb on the back of the copper terminal and this acts as an anti backout feature to stop the terminal being pulled out. So you need a small watchmaker screwdriver or similar narrow but stiff blade to push into the socket from the side that would normally be...

Re: Regulator / Rectifier Modification
Could somebody please tell me what size female connectors I need to buy to fit an R6 regulator? I just removed the standard terminals from the connector shell, put heatshrink over the exposed copper to stop any risk of short circuiting and then put them onto the correct pins on the r6 R/R and fitte...

Re: Regulator / Rectifier Modification
Thanks for the replies....I am just trying to get the individual connector dimension to do the same job as the original link but I guess a trip to Halfords with my R/R will work. Where are you based mate? I have a set of electrical connectors and insulators if you're local. he Thanks for the offer,...

Re: Tail Light Help?
I've found the cause but not the solution - there are 3 wires on a connector which is pushed onto the bulb holder. The bulb holder should have 3 metal tabs onto which the connector locates. On mine, the middle tab has gone AWOL so only 2 out of the 3 wires are connected. Looks like I will have to ge...

Re: Tail Light Help?
Just back online - thanks for the replies.
I swapped bulbs which confirmed the problem is not the bulb. The wires in the connector look a bit green/corroded so this may be the problem. I'll have a look during the week.

Tail Light Help?
One of my tail lights is not working.........thought it was just the bulb (both brake lights work fine). Bought and fitted new bulb and still it doesn't work  I confess to being not very "switched on "electrically - does anyone out there have some tips on finding the possible ca...
Re: downpipes
Wish my bike looked that clean Wicky
Re: vfr bars
Thanks for that, makes me a bit more comfortable about cutting the fairing - may get away with touch up spray maybe.Wicky wrote:Plastic is black abs
For those who have done this, what is the best tool to use....Dremel, Junior Hacksaw or what?
Thanks
Re: vfr bars
I'm also a bit nervous about cutting the fairing.........presume it is mandatory if you fit VFR bars (other than master cylinders)?
Don't really want the cost and hassle of a respray - are the fairings white under the paint, or moulded roughly in the colour they are sprayed in? Mine is a black one.
