Re: what would you swap your storm for
Don't ask for an explanation, I don't have one that makes sense, but this is the only swap (and I'd have to pay money towards it as well)

It's too far, I haven't ridden anything like that distance in about ahem mumble years... and I'll be too busy moving house to mess about.

Bike moving companies
Will be moving house 200 miles or so from Bristol to Cornwall and don't fancy the ride can anyone suggest a company that can transport it? Don't mind paying for a decent professional insured service.
Also would like to hear about companies to avoid...
Cheers

Best/easiest place to get at 12v under the seat...

Re: How long.......
Many years ago I had my VF750F in for a new shock. They phoned me to say they weren't sure if they would have it for me by the end of the day as they were struggling to get it off, having broken two Snap-on spanners. Later on they phoned to say it's ok, they got it off by turning the bike upside dow...

Re: Cars that indicate
Girl I sit next to in work, her boyf was dithering between an Audi and a Seat as his next company car. I said don't get an Audi because the indicators don't work and he'll never be allowed out at a junction again.
He's getting a Seat.

Re: Best battery.
Fitted an Odyssey to the Vmax, it turned over faster and the bike would sit in the garage for six months or more and it would start first time. Lasted 10 years before it died and that included short trips and months of doing nothing. Fitted another shortly before I chopped it in for the VTR and then...

Re: New toy!
Nice fresh MOT and the baffles are on the shelf ready to go in next year. Bizarrely at idle it sounded louder with the baffles in than out - but that changed once the revs were up. They fitted them in such a way that no holes were drilled so it looks ok with them out. Gotta say the new tyres and spr...

Re: New toy!
Someone earlier said about the modifying thing kicking in... ...does a set of Pilot Road 3s and Hyperpro front springs count? I've only had the mile trip home along 20mph roads but cripes, what a difference... ...bad news is the MOT fail (Microns). Ahem. "Exhaust noise is clearly in excess of t...

Is there any way of pushing it out? The paint is fine so I don't want to mess about too much from the outside. Is it possible to get something weirdly angled through the filler?
