Uploading Pictures

Post by haydnw »

Tried to upload a picture and the following message is displayed where I expected the image to be - any ideas anyone.

Warning: getimagesize(thumbs/991.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/abercon.co.uk/httpdocs/vtr1000/gallery.php on line 186

Yes, make them smaller. Theres a size limit, 150k. I havnt looked but I bet yours are bigger than that.

Cupasoop,
thanks for your reply.
I did resize the pics before trying to post them - they are around 100kb so I don't think size is the problem.
I do use a Applemac computer so maybe the file type is the issue, although I thought JPEG was universal.

Anytime that error has happened the size was the problem, and using a mac shouldnt be a problem. I do see that the gallery has been cleaned up a bit, did you have something to do with that or maybe your pics got caught up in it? Give them another go.
Rich.

I've beefed up the error checking in the upload page so hopefully we wont get anymore blank images in the gallery.

Am I missing something fundamental here ????
Tried again, same as last time.
How if I just email the image to one of you and see if you can upload it successfully.
Go on make my Christmas !!!

I have followed the instructions word for word on how to upload photo's but it still did not work. I have used photobucket to store my pics and got the URL, but when I click on the Img button there are no ****'s after the [img]bracket.%20 It just lookes like this.
