Let me ask kev if he's got any routes he knows as well
No sure which Kev you're referring to here Phill, but l know plenty of good routes around Wales.
But just to let you know, I'm quite happy to back mark either group, to be honest l quite enjoy dropping off and then have a burn to catch up, don't worry Mac I'll make sure I don't leave anyone behind this time :D
Just another point to mention, is anyone bringing their partner to the meeting, cheekysue would like to know if she's going to have any other female company or not.

If needs be, Im confident enough I can lead the fast group. In fact it'll be fun trying to see if I can leave a blade, gsxr and Aprilia behind :-)

I don't know the route, but perhaps someone could lend a sat nav? Alternatively I can put it into my phone I have it fixed to top yolk but it's hard to see in sunlight.

The offer is there anyway if needed.

Or I will lead the first group with Ady at the rear

With Chris leading the second group and Tony doing back marker

Everyone ready to leave Saturday morning at 7am

Sound good?

Discuss

Happy to back mark but 07:00 seems very keen, let's let the previous nights beer pass through before riding....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Spoke to Flatline and we thought I'd start the ball rolling regarding a route for the Saturday ride out.
Below is a link to a route I've come up with so far.
It's a good route, just short of 300 miles, with some decent places to stop for breaks if needed :Beer Popcorn: :D
The usual FireStorm fuel stops have been taken into account  If anyone as another route or suggestion, please don't be shy bring it on

Does anyone know of an app that can accept a sat nav style route on Android?

I currently use Google maps with cached offline maps, but, you can't enter a specific route, it just takes you point to point the fastest way.

Ideally I think it needs to be a sat nav route, but, I'm not spending a load of money on an app like that as I wouldn't use it, I already have it in the car.

Also, sorry just 1 thing, that route misses out the road from Newtown to Crossgates, in my opinion the best road we've done on the Wales visits. It's about 20 miles without villages, following a river and hundreds of beautiful bends.

Al - I know when you've led the fast group there have been some awesome roads, are there any others close by this route we should take in?

That's no problem l can easily add it to the route plan, in fact I was going to put that section in anyway.
If anyone else has anything to add then please speak up.
I'm just trying to make it a bit different rather than doing the same roads year after year, I very much doubt that many of you will have ever been on some of these roads.
