Cadwell thurs 27 & fri 28 Aug track days

Post by StuartWags »

This seems to be a bit of a "by word of mouth" event. However, it is still has all the supporting crew you would get with a MSV or No Limits day.....and a bit more really. i.e. you can get a coaching session for nowt if you ask.

i have paid just under £200 and get 2 full days and an evening session in the novice group...

there are still places left in the novice group ....

anyone interested?

Sounds good that mate, who's it with?

I will ask my brother if he's up for doing this too.

Is it 7 day time sessions, then 4 or 5 evening sessions, then 7 more day sessions?

had two excellent days

these guys (Ixion) basically rent the circuit and staff from MSV for for the 2 1\2 days, every year for the past 20 years. Their scrutineers do actually look over the bike and your gear. The riding standard is generally very good as this event is more or less by invitation only (i.e. word of mouth, not advertised). As a consequence the groups are pretty tight, even in the slow group. They offered free coaching and the photos were free too. very friendly bunch if you are willing to behave accordingly... if not they will eject people permanently. All that said there was a very good atmosphere and people did pull together to make sure everybody went round safely and and kept going ..... I had a lot of support when one of my carbon cans blew apart.

Really good for a novice entry, the fast and intermediate groups are pretty much booked up immediately by the regulars and some of those were chuffing off the ground over the mountain. I was going around in the slow group about 2 min 5s and i could find space on the track and and just ride
