Oi!
I'll have you know Ali's lucky to have got that stuff home. There's a big soft skinned GrumpyFrog that never let it out of his sight and was even using it as a moisturiser before bed 8O
My new ride is a bit of a Howler and I love to make her Squeal

Just a couple to add to the pile.
Most of the rest of the pics are pretty similar to what’s already been posted

A great setting

Glorious surroundings
Image
Our very own pyromaniac and our Scottish Squadron leader trying out a new toy
Image
A bit of riding was accomplished despite all the Tomfoolery
Image
A presidential two fingered salute was made
Image
And, of course, there was plenty of haggis and chips to be hadImage
All in all. A pretty good place for a rideImage

I am told it’s not a bad lube either.

Did it work :?:

My Brother and his wife did Scotland's equivalent to Route 66 the NC500 on their motorbikes and they were plagued by midges. They were recommended to use some anti-midge repellent by the locals, but it didn't work. They ended up coming home earlier than had planned because of this, although they did complete the NC500 first,

I didn’t get bitten, but I don’t think the midges were that bad this weekend ... perhaps the huge fire kept them at bay

Reality check for me tomorrow.
Had the day off today just to recover and catch up on what didn’t get done on the weekend. All the good stuff, washing, ironing, cut the lawn. Did this weekend actually happen? I’ve got an extra 1118 miles on the bike was it a dream?

i think it was the best one yet, would only have been bettered if
a) Edward hadn't had a mishap
b) sunday had also been dry

the location was epic.
the gabi burgers were perfect.
the campfire was the best focal point ever.
the usual regulars were as much fun as ever.
the new faces were all great company and I hope will become regulars.
the return of the long haired Metallica one was a treat, and he is obviously batting above his league with Elka, she is good for him.
getting my brother AND sister out was a big treat for me.
the roads, despite some very dodgy repairs in places, still rank up there as some of the best motorbike roads in UK..... and very little traffic.
riding with a bunch of likeminded old age hooligans made me smile . over 50s wheelie club anybody?
looking at the smiles on everybody's face at the end of the logging road before the buddhist temple made me smile even more.
trying to outrun the KTM and the Husky [and mostly failing] made me laugh every time I looked in my mirrors.
getting air on the bridges and knowing that the others were going to either sh1t them selves or scream with joy when they got there, had me in stitches.

so thank you all for letting me show you where I am from and what i stand for ... you made me a very happy man.

so next year .... same place, same time, same roads ..... why mess with a perfect formula
