Bunch of van wimps.
If ya think I’m going to follow you up over the Yorkshire Dales you’ve got another thing coming.
The swim up last year was tremendous. all that water and wearing a lid gave me a real in-site to what it must be like to be a goldfish !

Its alright Pete, no van required this year to lug the camping gear around. Back to 2 wheels.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

Good Man Grumpy

Ali, if you’re coming on the KTM we’ll have to add Bus to the biker versus van race
And I know which one I’m betting on

we will see if I am bored with the KTM adventure bus by the scotland trip, but will do Yorkshire & NI on it for sure.

I have now booked the bunkhouse for 10 people for Friday and Saturday night, so I need your money! :D

we can add more people or extra nights later

costs £19/night plus £5 for bedding and towel = £43

If you don't have my paypal details send me an PM, I will also send them out on the WhatsApp group

Getting hopeful that this might still happen.

Not sure how you do social distancing in a bunkhouse, but perhaps we have to take over a few other buildings.

Brink it on :)

Fingers Crossed :D

It's going to be a long hard slog as my bike fitness this year has been severely eroded but if we get to do it I know I'll enjoy every aching muscle

There's always a tent option, to avoid playing bunkhouse sardines.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Tents and vans  The solution to social distancing. But we would need a fire pit each as well :?

spoke to the site today and the status is ……. well its still in limbo!

the Scottish government has said it will get tourism up and running by 15th July, but hasn't given any details, they also expect the 2m rule to drop to 1m. … but we still need to know if we can get into Scotland to play and non essential trips can be longer than 5miles!

he did advise that there has been a interest from a family who would be looking to use the other 1/2 of the bunkhouse at the same time, so while that doesn't bother me [more likly to upset them] I said we just have to work out what sort of occupancy level is viable for a group, like us, who are not a family bubble.

so, I left it that we would talk again at the start of July when more information may be available and he also suggested that if we needed to thin down the occupancy levels in the bunkhouse then he might move some more people to the cabins at the loch side. .. and obviously I can evict myself into the van.

not sure how the independent republic of Scotland will differ from the Britain re lockdown easement ( I'm sure wee Jimmy will be along in due course to offer enlightenment) but the Boris as just announced significant loosening of the lockdown yoke north of the border, hopefully Scotland will follow suit and meet will proceed despite the dreaded bat flu. If so and if practicable I'd like to attend, happy to kip in van
I've now gone all European and bought a KTM Superduke GT and Aprilia RSV1000R :D ,
Storm is now gone  .
