NORTHERN IRELAND July 17th to 20th 2020 NOT Cancelled

Post by cheekykev »

Really sorry to here you're having such a bad time Rob, and I hope that everything works out fine for you and your family.
Well I have a suggestion from the Brit lads.
If Mohamed can't go to the Mountain, why don't we take the Mountain to Mohamed.
I'm quite prepared to organise a trip to Ireland, say July 17th to 20th
To make life easy, we can stay in Newcastle, plenty of places to stay there, plus we're all familiar with the place.
I can organise a ride that me and Adam did 2017 which includes the Mourne Moutains.
If anyone is up for this please post up, or give me a ring

OK, the list people attending the Irish meeting so far is ;-
Me. Staying at the cottage
Cheeky ads. Staying at the cottage
AMCQ46. Staying at the cottage
Mark2000vtr, Staying at the cottage
Grumpyfrog. Staying at the cottage
Tonymon. Staying at the cottage/annex
Kenny Greer staying with Tonymon in Annex

Good effort guys, thanks.

ok lads, :sad2 .

heres were i am. without going into a heart bleeding session..a few know the situation here and its got serious not just with the wifes op thats coming up but with my youngest child here..

not something id wish on anybody so im afraid im out, atm im taking biking and life one week at a time , iv spoken with james at length about this yesterday and when he picked his jaw up he said its the right thing to do, any runs i may get on this year will be planned a day in advance at best.

it can hopefully be all sorted out this year so next years op storm Ni will be back and better than before lads. gutted to be honest and god knows if il make the scotland trip atm cause im just winging hings atm..

its put things in order lads when you get the chilling news you have nearly lost your 13 year old daughter :eek2 :eek2 :eek2

Hope all goes well for you and the family, Robert. These thing take a lot of organising and NI will still be there in a while.
Sincere thanks for organising the last few, they are epic.

(and I might be home for my birthday, my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary this year, as they all fall on the NI dates- it doesn't go down too well when I'm off drinking the kids inheritance in Guinness every year) 🤔
