PRO - Impressive weight reduction achieved by removing surplus lump and innards.

CON - Needs a nearby hill to roll it down to get some speed up.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

You guys

I was terrified to split the cases for fear of things going ping all over the place !
Only one blue washer I have no idea where it came from .
I can't believe how simple these engines are .
I will get the bores measured and if they're within speck after honing -hi comp pistons here I come but if not I will have to save and save for an oversize hi comp set :-)

Post a pic of it up and see if it can be identified. Do you have a rough idea from where it came from.

Rode it like I stole it, which is apt as one of the guys I was riding with is a bike copper.

I was having trouble staying with him on what I thought was a Speed Triple. When we stopped for lunch I found the problem, it was a BMW S1000RR :cool2

Well all this modern stuff looks the same from the rear!

Jamie - Fancy bumping into you again this evening! Sorry haven't got in touch about the bimble out & about this week (last week) as the same day I last saw you (Bank Holiday Monday) my mum was admitted into hospital so have been dashing about between Clacton, hospital & work.

Enjoy Wales and say a big "baaah!" to the natives.

Stripped front end to check on front wheel binding. Thought it might be wheel buckled as it was 'Ole Red's front wheel. Turned out to be mankey callipers that came with M.La Drooper. So they will be coming off to be replaced with the Black set I had on 'Ole Red.

Took a fork off to change the oil & clean it up.

Do the other one tomorrow & will clean up the header while I'm down there...

Then spray them black.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
