I feel the carb slides are still not lifting quite quickly enough, so I will enlarge the second lift hole (net effect will be 75% of the lift of the stock 2-hole set-up). Response is already very, very goo, but I feel as though there is more in there... so, OCMD obliges to go on a quest, lol

I will also work on the placement of the air lines (inside airbox) going from the the two Flo-Commander units, getting them clearly out of the airstream (read somewhere that the area extending from 2 cm below the mouth to @ 6-7 cm above the stack opening is critical and that any obstacles located in this area impair airflow into the engine by a non-negligible amount). Optimisation like this is cheap and all the little gains add up. So, away wi' ya!

cheers from across the Pond :)
have you had a chance to ride a standard vtr recently, it would be interesting to compare it against your bike....

closest I came was to ride my buddy Jack Flash's bike (he of fuel screw fame). His bike is not quite stock either, as he is running my old CBR900RR forks, brakes and PVM magnesium wheels (along with a braced swinger and Jamie Daugherty F4i shock). His bike feels assuredly calm and restrained in comparison - quite a contrast from mine, lol Mine is frantic, sooooooooo flickable...

Mik_str: if you want to increase slide speed, there is also possibility to order springs only from Dynojet distributor as spare parts, quite cheap, Dj springs are softer. Just another easy option for tinkering.

thanks, am already running those (have been for some time now). I think I am right at the prime setting for lift speed and all. I think I will now ride and enjoy :)

Somebody has been messing with the media embedding and youtube is not on the new list thats been added. Like most softwares they deteriate as time goes on becuase developers can't leave things alone. If things are not broken they won't have anything to fix and be out of a job. It's a bit like installing parts on an engine designed to fail after so many hours. Just another income created from commercialised waste. It's a shame it can't be put to better use like growing vegetables to feed the starving in the world. Oops no....we can't do that because they are poor and don't have any money to pay for the food. Even tax evading charities expect a wage in return.
