Anyone with an SP1 or SP2 for a Bike mag feature

Post by JohnnyB »

Hi All,

Rupert Paul (The Bike journalist) posted this up on TRC earlier (See below)
I suspect he may have more luck on here.

its Short notice but someone may get ab intersting morning out :D

Any experienced SP-1 or SP-2 owners fancy bringing their bike along to a morning at Bruntingthorpe Proving ground this Friday Dec 2?

Bike magazine (for whom I am a freelance contributor) are looking for a reasonably standard SP-1 or 2. They want to take pics of it for an article in Bike, and interview its owner. Hence you need to have owned your SP for a good while, rather than bought it last week.

In return you get a cooked breakfast in the picturesque Cold War canteen, a professionally-shot set of pictures, and the chance to ride round the proving ground. It's not a great circuit for corners but there is a two-mile straight and we will have a data logger which will record speed and acceleration. But that's just for fun really. The important bit is pics and interviews.

One condition: there is a noise limit at Bruntingthorpe. Bikes need road legal exhausts or similar.

Bruntingthorpe is just south of Leicester, UK.

If you'd like to bunk off work and come along, contact me directly on rupert.paul@virgin.net. Please don't just turn up on the day because they won't let you in.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
