I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

My hjc is17 gets a 5star :-)
And it's the best fitting helmet I've ever tried on and at only £150 :-)

4 stars on my Shoei Raid2. Only 1 star for my girlfriends Vemar...
Re: how does your helmet stand up
My Scorpion Exo 1000 gets four stars. My lad's Duchinni D851 isn't listed but all the Duchinnis that are score four or above which is reassuring.
That's a cool bit of internet that is

Somethng is not right with their testing if that's 4 star. The same with my Arai that only got 4. How can they be worse than HRC or Sharp. Their tests are bullshit. And as it's coming from the goverment it's defo bullshit. Are they affiliated with Sharp somehow.Schuberth SR1 = 4star
This is good enough for me

Re: how does your helmet stand up
ahem ahem
The CE test is laughable because is clearly defines very small areas of the helmet which have to take the specified impact. Only those small areas need any protective quality at all. The rest can be eggshell as far as the test is concerned.
As such the CE test is inferior to the BSI helmet standards that we used to have before they were outlawed by Brussels
In response to this the govt has introduced its own assessment of helmet quality: the SHARP test
there was no plagiarism hurt in the shameless robbery from an other forum

OMG my Arai RX7 Corsair only gets 3 *** it must be shite, I think I'll rush out and buy an MT revenge
http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testsratings/mt-revenge
£65 for a 5* helmet !! what a bargain compared to what I paid for my Arai, Polycarbonate shell must be way better than composite fibre construction, micrometric adjustment (god knows what that is ) but it's obviously much preferable to the rubbish Arai double D system, all these years biking and I thought I knew a thing or two about safety and never even considered the governments boffins would know better, what fool I feel.
#Anyone want to buy a rubbish Arai ? I won’t feel safe now until I have the MT revenge on my head.
Really? No not really this is more BS from people who don't know what they are talking about, eg there's a reason the ACU helmets stds mandate a double D fastening, it won't work loose or burst open unlike other methods of securing your lid and I’m pretty sure that polycarb shells are approved either (although I may be wrong here and this could have changed but I know for sure this used to be the case), I think I’ll put my trust in my Arai despite what the government think tanks suggest.
Anyway it could be just a way of reducing the load on the overstretched NHS, get everyone wearing the bargain 5* rated lids so they are dead before they even reach the hospital.

Re: how does your helmet stand up
Fantastic!!!
I can't keep up with all these tests. The BS one or CE or whatever is the latest standard is rubbish compared to the Snell one. They will change the boundaries next week for something else. As long as you wear a lid then all is good. When will they pay a bit more attention to other parts of our body. Too much concentration going on in the head area. What good is your head if you loose your body.
So sharp is the testing then. I thought it was a brand of lid.
