trailer

Post by grumpyfrog »

I know I do a lot of hours, including traveling, but last night on the M6 I seriously came within a few mill of rear-ending the merc infront of me---

The reason--

With the windows down, as I'm a tight git and don't use my Air con, I hear the distinct sound of a V twin rumbling along, looking around I spot a putrid yellow Storm cruising along looking rather fat......
Second look, she's 2 up and fully loaded with enough bags for a fortnight away,

THEN,

She's pulling a bloody trailer---------
eyes to the front and RAM on the brakes.... panic over.....

So to whoever may be the owner of a very nice looking fully pimped out touring bus, you owe me a new pair of pants and a few of your heart beats!!!
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

it was the first time I've seen a storm with a trailer, and you looked like you had plenty of stuff on it thinking about it, it must be an excellent bike for pulling with all that torque.
did you do all the modifications yourself?
stick up where you're from, as there's more of us about than you think and we like nothing better than mods, catching up and ripping up IL4's.

hi yes I made the trailer myself last year and developed it over the winter iv pulled it over 3000miles this summer carries about 150kgs and pulls well a bit to well soon forget its behind you :? The storm has more than enough torque to cope with it and wheelies come easily at the slip of the throttle as lots got to see at the tt but high speed cornering and braking are no problem went over the tt mountain with 3 fingers on the clock 8O biggest problem is when I take the trailer off ? the Mrs buys things and no way to carry it home

Windows down air con off on a motorway uses more fuel because of drag than windows up and air con on!!!!
