I finally found my fighter engine buried in the Duff cave and aim to give it a good clean next week to de- grease it, but noticed the barrels have some flaking.
As the build has newly painted frame & wheels I don't want to let it down with a tatty looking engine.
Has anyone used a darker grey / graphite gloss engine spray paint they can recomend as want it darker than the stock silver?
The engine covers & rockers will be satin black.
Any help and tips on a good result we be appreciated ( apart from using lube Lloydie )
Cheers Duffy

Re: Engine paint
Here you go mate, you can get the exact engine colour if you want.

Or try Eastwood paints

Give it all a good rub down with wet n dry (wet) first. Mask off everything that you don't want paint on and wet n dry between coats.
It will take time to fully cure and most likely some heat from the engine running before things start to really harden.
If you want a good thick protective coating but not so pretty then use brush on paint. If you want a good finish (dependent on prep) then aerosol cans are good but not so economic.
