Back under the knife...

Post by MacV2 »

Just had a call from Kings Collage Hosp...

Gotta go & have the plate cut out of me wrist Weds 13th...The bad news is I have to be there for 07.30 !

Just to screw work up got to go for a pre consultation on the 8th but that'll be a half day.

It'll only be day surgery so be in out that day. I spose I'll have stitches for a week or two so I may be off work I'll have to ask...

Is this a good thing that it is being removed or a bad thing?

Sure all will go well but hey, time off work

Well according to the consultant that last saw me, he said it had collapsed & it had to come out. So I suppose its a good thing. Plus the next time I carelessly smash into the back of a stationary vehicle it wont be there to bend...

I was just going to PM you CK...I'm in on the 13th for this op & I'm sure there was something happening that weekend, some event or gathering. Trouble is If I'm in stitches & not able to ride I might have to blow it out.

Shame coz I here Marty was already prepping his chest for that do... 8O

Least there getting it sorted  you will be more careful next time you decided to crash into a parked car

Will be a shame if you can't make the wedding but don't go pushing yourself to be there and make that wrist worse.

The worrying thing is I could imagine Marty doing that but he can not be there now either due to family stuff :( never mind I'm scared for life from the stag do

Ask to keep the titanium plate and incorporate it into the Storm as a memento…. :cool2
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I hope it goes well mac, the bent wrist will improve, but they still need to do something about your camp walk.....
as chris said unfortunately I will not be attending his special day, I feel that I've inflicted enough pain, trauma and mental anguish upon the poor man for one lifetime......
