Never been so shakey.....

Post by Ckennedy »

I don't think I've ever shaken so much in my life, not hot shakes, no cold shakes but terrified shakes.......

It's been about a year since my wife last had any driving lessons and going around Tesco I did the unthinkable.......

I got her some "L" plates

She had no idea till we got to the check out and found them in the trolley. Got back to the car and told her to get the car warmed up while I loaded the shopping in the boot. Then I did the even more unthinkable, I unpackaged the "L" plates and stuck them on the car. She panicked and didn't believe what was happerning and took a few laps of the car park before I let her loose on the roads for the 6 mile drive home.

To be fair she did ok. Managed to stall, a diesel, a couple of times but she did ok for the first drive in a year. Me on the other hand. I'm traumatised. I'm shaking like a blinking leaf. I havnt shaken this much, ever I don't think, not even when I nearly crashed the bike at Mallory doing silly speed. Not looking forward to next time but it's going to have to happen :s

Got a beer in my hand now and it's going rather quick!

I've never been a good passenger. Some people I'm better with than others but Damn this just isn't funny. She did well enough, and I'm glad for her. Least my car is still in one piece

Your telling me it is. The Times I've been down on the bike are enough for me.

Yeah it probably would be better for me. I wouldn't be shaking as I wouldn't have been in the car. Her biggest problem is she is to panicky. Smallest thing sets her off. She will over come it in time, hopefully
