Re: what's your best and or worst biking moment of 2016
Best moment was putting faces to names on macs garage day and the meet up at Box Hill for same reason.
Worst moment and most embarrasing was parking up outside Nat West bank in Watford only to find the doors locked because i still had my helmet on.

SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN
Re: what's your best and or worst or fun biking moment of 20
Best...
Various meets of 2016, Grainstorm III, Devon, Wales, Box hill...
Also buying two cheapish Storms & selling one without doing any thing to it for a profit...
Worst...
Dropping Custard Crumble & doing more damage to myself than the bike.
Funniest...
Appraoching a left hand bend & seeing the Devon ditch dwellers head poking up at road level...You had to be there...

2016 has been an awesome biking year for me, one of the best ever, dont think I had a bad moment at all .
I did the Ron Haslam race school back in May with my brother, which was fantastic but the best part of it was whilst I was on track, my Dad was milling about and the organisers had, unbeknown to him and me, spoken to Ron and arranged to take Dad out on a Fireblade, we left the debrief and came out to Dad all kitted out chatting to Ron, I was shocked to say the least, Dads fitness isnt quite what it used to be so I asked Ron to take it easy for a bit at least and check with him..Ron proceeded to come past us(at what we later learnt was around 120-130MPH) on the back wheel...(apologies for the crappy screen shot)

I was more than a little worried but he did 4 laps with him on pillion and as you can see from the after pic with Ron and us, Dad was pretty cool with it!
I should add, my Dad passed his bike test just last year aged 72 and now has 2 bikes! age is just a number eh?

Best - first track day with some of you lot .
Still get a smile when I watch the vids back, cracking day and I remember being pumped for weeks after .
Worse - badger,lorry,trees,field ,poo pants .
Still get shivers thinking about it and how close I came to not being here .
Still miss bikes but made the right choice to sell up .

Re: what's your best and or worst biking moment of 2016
best is a tie between
a) between OP storm Scotland ...... fantastic roads, "spirited riding" and great crack with a great bunch of lads
b) riding a BMW S1000RR for 4 days in Sardinia - what a bike, what roads!
c) pitpike supermoto racing - all the fun of track days, racing, mental lean angles and red mist, with none of the cost / risk down sides
worst biking moment:
easy - getting back from Sardinia having to face cold weather, wet roads and the M25 traffic again.......... then reading the Forum and seeing that the lads who went to OP storm Wales had all got caught by a camera van.
Just reinforced the fact that UK biking is getting worse and worse.. too many cars driven by idiots and too many speed traps

i could also have added
another best
was riding through a massive dust storm where you couldn't see more than 50 metres ahead of you. sounds bad but was actually rather cool..
another bad
was getting my first speeding ticket in spain... on the plus side it was only a £40 fine for being 17mph over the limit...
oh and anothe good moment was the cyberman returning to the fold...

So many good moments this year and most are especially due to you guys and the Storm Ops
Probably the one I felt the most pleased with myself about was the May meet. It was my first trip out after starting to get my health back, I took an extra day to make it home but this time last year I wasn't too sure if I would make any of them ever again.
Worst moment was getting a message on the Devon meet to get back to the group because someone had had an off.
Followed by instant relief to see everyone upright and milling around a certain Ditch Dwellers Bike

Best? Op Storm Scotland, without a doubt.
Worst? Haven't had one yet. Every time I get on a bike it's a good day.
