SINGLE SEAT UNIT`s & BODYWORK KITS

Post by YETI »

Well I think ive finally cracked it ! , as some may know
I purchased some bodywork moulds for the VTR some
time ago now and had a few issues along the way ???
so this has taken far longer that it was ever intended to .
but I now have the main parts made to a very high standard .

I'm using a professional company to make these to order
and have the first unit being sent to me on this coming
Monday to check for fit ( single seat unit ) .
The main fairing is still being pondered over as it needs
the headlight mount which we have worked out but it
needs to be implemented and checked before offering
any out for sale .

I`m not sure of price for the fairing yet as we are still
sorting the headlight fixing points but I'm fairly sure
that the seat units will be £220 - £230 plus postage costs
( and only available in fibreglass at this present time )

The seat units are fairly complex and consist of several
parts , ie : the main body which will have fixing points
for the tail light bonded into position and a seat support
beneath the main body plus a pad that any prospective
buyer can get upholstered .
I`m popping a few photos on here to show a bare seat unit
plus the fairing but also a converted tail unit that shows the
rear light in the correct position ( this photo is just to show
the position as the tail unit was adapted and doesn't have
the correct fitting lugs ) .
The seat units will fit a standard firestorm seat frame so
nothing to adapt on the frames .
If anyone is interested in a possible purchase or would like
more information please ask away or PM me .
regards
YETI..
PS : once I have the first one fitted to my bike ill post some
more photos .

Now that front fairing looks the part. I could be very tempted there. Love the way the lower is incorporated on. That is how the originals should have been to begin with

I like the lot, and none of it is teal!
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

This looks very similar to Mario Nava's fairing :?: If it is it will be a beauty in fibreglass,

Has anybody tried the sebimoto single seat rear fairing?

It is a lot cheaper than this option but I'm presuming the quality/fit wont be great

i think that one is the same as a standard strom seat with the seat hump on it but made into a single unit, if that makes sense

cannot recommend sebimoto. But I have front fender from motoforza and quality is good for me. They have it too.

Those do look good..... though getting a set to where I am at would probably be cost prohibitive..... :Ball Kick:

Hummmmm... well I can't really comment about the quality of the others mentioned but they do appear to be track orientated where as my seat has been made as a direct replacement for use on the road and fits the original seat frame .
It has bonded in areas to take the original tail light and also a support that goes under the main unit for added stability where the rider sits plus a removable pad so that anyone who purchases can get it covered in their choice of finish .
I have just drilled my seat out as I prefer the integrated indicators look , I'll post some more photos when I get the chance .
Please don't think this is a flimsy piece of tat , it's taken quite some time to get this made to a high standard by a professional company .
I own 4 of these bikes and believe me when I say I'm fussy what I put on them , i wouldn't be fitting a sub standard part on any of my bikes just to drum up business, I've wanted one of these kits on my bike for years but especially the seat unit .
