any vtr's in south/west wales

hi, just posted my intro on the welcome page. i'm looking to sit on a vtr with straight bars to see if my old bones will cope. somewhere in south west wales preferably. ta.

thanks for that. i might pop along (in the car). do you know if any of the riders booked in have straight bars?

At least 2 on the list are old & crotchety & therefore need straight bars... :lol: :lol:

just been trawling the site as you do, and came across a survival project by a cb-phil. man, there was some serious hate going on there!! i'm not planning on going down the same route but i'm not a sportsbike fan and i dont like fairings. so my intention is to strip off as much as i can so it looks more ducati monster-ish. i ride on fast a and b roads but also very narrow country/mountain roads so it has to be manouverable. i hope there's not an underground vtr lynch mob on here!

Yes there is... Storms have a fairing...they look shite without it & you can fit flat bars without junking the fairing... :lol:

Still it's your bike, so ruin it if you want...

If you dont want them tho i'll have the fairings off you... :lol: :lol:

only one reply so far. i'm disappointed! i'm just trying to up my post count so i can use the for sale and wanted section :biggrin i must admit, storms do look a bit wrong with the fairing off but like you say, each to their own...

I'm really hoping to be bike fit...but it's touch & go ATM...It's not that long to go so will have to see...If i can't ride I might look at renting a C A R...Oh the shame... :oops:

I should have that kit ready in nxt week or so ...finding it hard to make it look good but be functional at the same time and using my bike to make it ImageImage
U should be fine by then...fit some flat bars and take weight of ur shoulders and wrists Image

the only bin shot i could find. my beloved versys which had to go as i couldnt ride it anymore, and my DN-01 which i could ride but didnt really want to.
