Is it possible to import a plot a route map into google maps?

And, how are people using plot a route on an android phone?

Google maps, look at the place you want to go, look at where you are now, join the dots.
If you get lost, repeat from step one.

Simples....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I don't think google will let you use an imported DPX file any more, but it di in the past. so to solve it on you phone, I would upload a GPS app to the phone that uses off line maps. I have used "navmii" on apple.

then with those there is good chance you can import a trip using GPX files and go from there.

otherwise its taping a map to the tank.

good news is that the scottland ride doesn't have too may road junctions, so a simple paper list could work
