So hows your luck ?

Post by MacV2 »

Mines a bit better than one of the guys at work who had a puncture on his Kawasaki Versys thing...

He was hanging around at the gate when I came back to the yard & said he was waiting for a puncture repair guy...

Anyhoo this guy turns up in a merc van. Takes the wheel off, takes the tyre off, mushroom plug from the inside, remounts & refits...all for £50, 20 of which is the call out charge...

So when I went out to leave he was putting cards on the other bikes, so I grabbed one off him & got chatting...& he says I've got a seat hump for one of them... OK what colour & how much...Yellow & £** Ok I'd be interested in that... He says txt me & when I'm in the area (quite often..) we'll sort it out... Turns out he has some other bits as well...

It's good to talk...... Even if you get the hump after meeting up with him, Mac

Sound familiar?

Both crash helmet manufacturers have prices well below that cost, so all should be well.

So its been a while but managed to hook up with the Tyre guy this week...

Image

Slight crack in the yella one other than that all good.

The shock is really clean, I asked him if he knew the milage on it... Turns out he bought a non running Storm cheap as off some bloke real cheap & these bits came with it...He got the bike running & sold it on...Some time ago but just had these laying around...

We had a bit of a haggle...''these covers are rocking horse poo rare...ect''

Er well not really I've 8 storms & they all have covers...

Offered him £10 for the shock... ''But they are on Ebay for £70...''

Yeah they well may be but I bet they dont sell for that...

Any way a deal was struck aggreed a price for the lot... Theres a std bikini fairing as well but thats still on me van...

Trouble was I was £5 short so he took what I had...which is what I offerd him in the first place...

Then today I parked up behind a block of flats to go kill some Mice & laying on the floor I saw this...

But better still underneath it was this...

Image

The yam one is a tad small for me prob about a 40 chest but there are no lables in it.

The Alpinstar one fits me...which is a result...All the zips zip no rips, tares or scuffs...

Checked all the pockets as you do & only one item found....

The bloke must of been unlucky as not only has he lost his jacket but as the item was dated best before 9-14 hes not seen much action either...
