How long have you owned your VTR?

Post by 8541Hawk »

As one of the old timers that drank the VTR Kool-aid long ago just wondering how long folks keep their bikes.

As for me I'm at 23 years now and I guess I am also getting a bit rare as I bought mine new in 9\97
So any other, from new, owners still around?

Well back to the shed as I try to find where some of my spare bits ended up after my move :D

Wow!
Two owners boasting 20-plus years really speaks for these bikes.

I've had 3 over the past 2 years but will never get to 20 years. :(

or how lazy the owners might be! I didn't sell it when I got bored with roadbikes, so it was still there when I got bored with the off roaders.

so you shouldn't be surprised to know that I still have the gasgas enduro bike even though I haven't ridden enduro or greenlane for 6yrs. …. I know it is worth more to be that I will get if I sell them so I just wait for the tide to change again.

unless you know anybody that wants a 2002 GasGas 200 enduro bike that is fully road legal and had the engine overhauled before I mothballed it :D

but if you want to catch up, you can do what MacV2 does, and own multiple Firestorms at the same time, so he should have a cumulative 20yrs as well

also spotted that it took me 9 years of freeloading information off the internet groups before I joined this forum...…….. is that a lurking record?

First Storm for me was 2011 which got written off by a BMW Driver (or not as he didn’t see me) then started to build the fighter which I still own. I have had 6 others pass through during this time and have 5 other bikes in the cave at present
