I have had the most spectacularly sh1tty day

Post by tony.mon »

Never mind work, I flooded the kitchen- this is after I had spent hours last weekend with a drain snake upon to my armpits in drains, trying to persuade the washing machine to empty not quite as fast as it can run away- without success as it turns out.
Work was dreadful, we failed to win two big bids. On spurious grounds. Probably something I will be blamed for, even though with one, I had nothing to do with it.
I then had to buy a longer snake and try to clear drains form the soil pipe end- and, as I had boxed in and paid for plastering round the soil pipe, was a bit of a problem.
But finally, a Venturi whirlpool of drainage has appeared in both sinks- just after I realised that I have not yet reconnected the u-bend.

I'm just wiping out the family savings on a new bathroom, but the kitchen units now look decidedly waterlogged.
So I'm climbing into the case of Christmas beer that we bought to drink at Christmas- that didn't go down well either- and have reserved an early night on the sofa in the front room.

No chance of thrashing the bike around to get it out of my system- it's been p1ssing down all day.

I'm not after sympathy, just wanted to rant, then pass out.

Goodnight!

Fantail doves, plus their pigeon friends the moved in.
I'd have popped off the pigeons with an air gun but the wife says it's ethnic cleansing...
And I haven't got a gun.

Ok, ok, thanks for the support, I'm not going to top myself!
I've currently drunk everything non spirit based and am now on a bottle of lime and kiwi white wine as I didn't look when grabbing at the wine rack.
I've mixed it with a couple of Nytol as it's only 9 per cent.
Nearly there.
