That is pretty cool, we started our 420 -3000BHP V20 up last year with no exhaust on and it near blew my head off, maybe only 1500 rpm but wow what a row. Engines do it for me, all V8 sound the dogs too.( shelby Cobra etc)
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

The v6 sounds gruff compared to the v8 which screamed too much for my liking

Always enjoyed the sound of the Merc pace car's v8

not impressed with the new engines, my TVR V8 sounds way better than the current F1 V6s, for me F1 is all about screaming NA engines, bring back the V10s I say.
Apparently the Oz GP organisers are considering legal action due to crap engine sound ruining the F1 spectacle, and while I do agree the new engines ruin the appeal of F1 it sounds more like sour grapes to me after Ricardo was stripped of second place.
I've now gone all European and bought a KTM Superduke GT and Aprilia RSV1000R :D ,
Storm is now gone  .

I like the new sound but I do think the f1 should be a open class racing

Too quiet.
You can hear the commentator trackside waffling away....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I'm having visions of a chopper. Been there done that, a bit like walking along brushing a stick against railings.

As for the F1 noise I'm going to put the noise to the side for the moment. Yes the noise is half the entertainment but from what I have seen from the first race these new cars may add some more racing excitement with more overtakes and drivers loosing grip.

i used to love F1 in the 70,s and 80,s but will all the driver aids and the talking crap i now don't bother!!! i still remember when jackie Stewart drove the 6 wheeled car out! a Tyrrell i think, that was a great but weird looking car.

It's all very well wanting stuff like V10 exotica, but unless there is an R&D angle for road cars, F1 would just die out. I like the new sound (loved the old sound though) and as a result of the changes Honda are making a return next season, so the more the merrier. We don't want the sort of nonsense that saw only 15 on the starting grid for MotoGP a few years ago.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!
