Guy Martin back road racing?

Oh dear. That's not good.

He's not got it anymore. His body is not up to it, and that's why he decided to quit....before he killed himself proper.

I also don't think his head will be up to the task either. He's got too much on the go now to be able to concentrate and give 110% of himself to the TT. TV programmes, books, work, jetting off everywhere, his relationship factor, Nigel his dog etc. and too much time has passed with him out of the racing saddle.

He couldn't handle the BMW, and now he's throwing himself on a different machine, with a new team to have conflict and differing opinions with? Madness!

I forsee that this will not end well.

At least the funeral will be a large turnout. :(
If it ain't broken...f*ck about with it until it is.

I'm not sure either if it's a good move or not, I hope nothing bad happens to him,

I was also worried that he has been out of the saddle too long, well at true road circuit super bike speeds anyway, he has been on lots of other saddles since 2015.

it will be tough getting back up to speed, but I guess he is not wired up like the rest of us, so he might overcome all obstacles, or he might just employ his "keep pushing" mentality with painful consequences.

I hoped he would retire
At the same time I would love to see him getting a tt but worry because he's had a few big offs
As far as I know there on the new blade
I wonder if they can get this bike race ready and competitive for the island
Good luck to him and the rest of the riders
told you not to but oh no you knew better

That's what's gonna kill him. He keeps banging on about this ''go big or go home'' or ''if yer not dying, then yer not tryin''.

Which is a fine attitude to have if you're a normal bloke, as it encourages you to do your best, without being suicidal.

Guy Martin hasn't got the ''normal human'' mentality to know when to quit. I think it's part of his illness (Autistic or whatever they diagnosed him as being), so, he's a risk to himself by not knowing when to quit. And with that, he's also a risk to the spectators and others around him.

All this ''it'll be reet Guv, it'll be reet...just you don't worry about that'', and then bang, boom, scrape....it all ends in pins being screwed n' glued - again.

He'll be classed as a hero if he dies. But I won't call him that. I'd call him a bloody fool. :(

I'd also blame Honda for being willing to take him on and putting all at risk. Maybe that's why BMW hasn't got him riding anymore with them? He's just too much of a risk and I don't think they'd have him back no matter how good he said he was getting back in the seat!

If he was a cat, he'd already be halfway through the last of his 9 lives.

If your reading this Guy, (and he is) and you do kill yourself, I promise to look after Nigel. PM me with the collection details BEFORE you redecorate the side walls of the course! You can keep yer Scanny job, I don't want that....just yer pooch.
