i see there seems to b problems with the cct and rec/ reg just by reading the threads is there anything else major whats the best course of action for the cct and how do you do stoppers
i have heard that the front end is soft an needs stiffer springs what do you men think also one fork leg is weeping so will fit new seals wheres the best place to buy the gear i need
the bike looks good but it was the sound of the twin that sealed the deal :D
the back foot rests have been removed to fit Leo Vince pipes which look great ,( what do you think of these )other than this the rest of the bike is original
i,am a born again biker so please be gentle

Welcome to the forum  The anniversaries are pretty much no different from a regular storm apart from from a few cosmetics. Shame you haven't got the original Remus Grand Prix cans which was one of the extras that came with it originally.
As far as servicing goes you can download a workshop manual here http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 31&t=18025 which will pretty much tell you everything you need to know.

CCTs and R/R are the only things that are an issue on these bike with regards to failing.

Some links regarding the Cam Chain Tensioners (CCT's)

CCT's can go at any time, it's a gamble!
You can either go for the stop mod http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 31&t=19416 Which is the Honda auto CCT's that are converted to a fail safe. So when it does fail, it don't send the valves crashing.
Or
You go for the full manual conversion, your options are here http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 16&t=22720

Then with regards to fitting View Topic View Topic http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=8326

And you can post pictures via an image hosting site like Photobucket or equivalent.

Have fun

welcome, the anniversary storm is a nice bike it came with a few good extras:
Rearset pegs
Proflex rear shock
Race cans
hugger
Paint job.

so it is missing the front spring upgrade, CCT fix, reg/rec fix and a double screen

get some photos up and tell us where you are based [put it in your user profile] so you can work out who is local if you need to borrow some tools
