Storm inverness

Post by Beleif »

Hello folks,

Got my storm a couple of months ago and rode it home 400 miles. Pretty happy so far, although I said to the wife I'm not doing Ride To The Wall on it.

I've been reading the forum for a while and found lots of useful info here.

My main worry is getting to Perth from Inverness. Does anyone tour on these things?

Welcome to the nut house.
now fully understand your concerns about that trip, it's making my life a misery, and it's only going to get worse by all accounts.
yours isn't blue is it? saw a nice one passing the train station week past Thursday, or friday night..
how far do you want to tour on, no problems as far as i can see, solo or two up.

We need to get a Norther ride out sorted very soon. Your blessed with some awsome roads up there.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

Hi. Welcome to the Forum. I make an annual tour of Scotland's West Coast and down your side. 350 miles is enough for me in a day.

I'm hoping to go to a couple of rallies on the storm. It's a red one which will help get there faster.

I reckon dunbeath rally and kyleakin are on the cards for me.

I bought my storm from a guy in Aviemore. My first ride on the storm was down the A9 to Perth.

One of those rides that will live long in my memory!

welcome to the forum buddy, a fair few people tour on storms, but you'd be needing to raise the handlebars, getting the seat re-padded helps as well......

No problems with touring on a Storm. I've toured from Shetland, ferry to Norway into Sweden. Also toured 2 up from Aberdeen to Lands End to see the solar eclipse in 1999.

So I should have said a bit about biking.

I've currently got a divvy 900 and the storm.

The storm has 43000 on the clock and need fork seals or possibly re chromed stanchions.

Otherwise seems good.

Before this I've had mtx125, cbr 600's, gsxr750, cb400, r80rt, r100rs, gt750

Rallies I've enjoyed include stormin the castle, farmyard and various others.
