New Scottish member
Hi all,
Only had my Storm a month after a 7 year gap (kids). Based near Perth, Scotland. Last bike was a GSXR-750, so the Storm is just a wee bit different! Only had a few short rides due to the weather (I did say I'm in Scotland). My Storm is a 99, in Red (I've already gathered that's the fastest colour). She has a set of Black Widow cans - mega loud with the baffles out! Done 19k miles.
Knew there were a few things to sort on the bike. Just fitted a full Venhill braided hose kit (white), couple of bulbs out, indicators flashing too fast (aftermarkets indicators, but not LED). Just need some TLC and a good bit of elbow grease to clean her up. Brake calipers were filthy and needed a good service. Its getting there.
Can't wait to get out on it over the summer. The sound is ridiculous, and the torque is insane. It's so easy to ride. And too easy to ride fast. No waiting on a narrow power band like an IL4.
Hopefully there are some other Scottish members on here I can meet up with.
Regards,
Mark

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: New Scottish member
Welcome Mark, we will be having a meet up in SW Scotland end of July, see if you can come down to that to meet some more Stormers, and finally understand that red is NOT the fastest colour

Thanks for the welcomes guys. Done a ton of reading on the Storm already (and before I bought one), so I'm up to speed with the quirks/issues. Forgot to mention mine already had APE MCCT fitted by a previous owner, so that's one issue taken care of. The regulator looks original though, so that'll need replaced at some point too.
Would be good to meet up - let me know when/where.

Mark

If it's broken; should it move? Yes: Use WD40 No: Use cable ties. Now it's fixed!
