first v twin

getting my first v twin on thursday after a life of inline twins ,triples and fours, its a 2002 firestorm .

You are at an advantage of having already owned parallel twins, you should get on with the V twin fine,

i live about 15 miles north of doncaster.
about modifications, where do you start and what do you recomend

Sort out the basics first: CCTs and R/R before getting the otter fur seat mod ;-)

Welcome to the club mate. After the CCT's and R/R you will probably want to go for the whippet rack and cloth cap cover! Stereotypes on here, surely not! :lol:

cheers for the info, i will check the bike as soon as i get it home on thursday. what oil is recommended for it as i would like to change it to be on the safe side and also what are the oil change intervals,

10/40 semi , on the storm I change it every 2-3k .
Keep an eye on the oil level though as higher milage or abused use oil .

cgeers guys, it only has 16000 on the clock . are the manual cct i have seen on ebay any good
