New Member Question

Post by Chunky61 »

Hi, new old (55) member in the Rutland shire outback, obtained a Firestorm last year and the smile is still on my face , fantastic bike which seems to have acquired favouritism status over my VFR750 !! Would really appreciate some help from someone, due to take her on a weeks tour of the Alps in the summer but would dearly like to change the hand grips for a more upright pair to take some weight off my wrists, have seen them fitted to another VTR but can't find them anywhere on the net.
Many thanks Ian

The vfr 750 ones swap over depending on the year....
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

Greetings

Search (top right) as quite a few folk have asked about the mod and done it.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Hello and welcome .
I'd take the vfr as it'll be better on fuel lol
But if you have to take the vtr watch out for avalanches with open cans !!!

Hi ,
Thanks to all for your welcomes, and many thanks for the advice and help, much appreciated, had a great run out on the VTR yesterday, 200 miles round trip upto the Cat N Fiddle near Buxton, confirming what I thought and knew, YES, these are old bones I'm talking about !! and I definitely need to do the conversion before thinking of taking it to the Alps !!
Regards, Ian
