Hello, torque-loving VTR freaks!

Post by Nelaimesiu »

As per the title, hello!

Image

I am Martynas, a 25 year old from Lithuania, a small-ish country in northern Europe.

I've had the VTR for a year now, read most of the important stuff in this forum while lurking and preparing myself to choose a suitable VTR. Only now got around to actually joining the community!

Already made by build-thread, there you can read a bit more about my feelings about the bike:

Cheers!

Hello and welcome to the forum Martynas. Get the cct's changed to manual ones and ride in the knowledge that the pistons wont bend the valves when it lets go.

welcome to the forum martynas love the urban photos. personally don't think the vtr has the streetfighter look because of the side rads, put a front rad on is the way to go.

baycat - talking about the look, side radiators do look strange. I love that.
Talking about the cooling side of things, I was waiting for it to show signs of heating up, but it didn't; The fan only turned on a few times during the summer on extra hot days. I rarely red-line it and never track it, could be a lack of stress is what keeps it cool.. :D

I was even a bit dissapointed when I saw that my headers, when polished, showed only mild heat-discoloration, when my friend's TL1000S went totally blue.

Well it did take a whole year! :D About the photo - most of you guys are already old and shriveled up, posting pictures of one's self on the internet doesn't do your awesome personalities justice, does it?
No offense of course, just a friendly reminder of the winters passed...

Have a bit of catching up to do. And while lurking about I did think to myself that this is one of the friendliest and mature (in the true sense, not that you guys can't poke fun at each other!) bike communities I've read through.

Looking forward to having fun here, being called an immature foreign brat, stirring up road safety discussions with a few wheelie videos and other VTR lovelies.
