Hi folks,I just bought a Storm a couple of days ago,23000 ml,renthals,remus cans,pretty sweet.
Advertised as clean example and it was in the photos. When I got there it was a different story.
It had been ridden in shite weather and left to stand so its started to fur up in places.
No service history just MOT's and V5.Anyways its in my care now and will receive a good clean and strip down.
Sounded mad as owt when he fired it up    .
I've not had a bike for around 10 yrs so should be a laugh, last was a sorted Bandit 12.
Probably gonna need some help and advice in the coming months while I work on it.
Starting with a good clean and then will fit some mcct's and check everything over.
Pictures to follow when clean.
Regards TD

Hi M8tey .. and welcome to the forum .. I note you give the " Red Rose " as your location ...
that is a big clue ...There's a few "Lanky lads " about here up North .. knowledgeable and
help in abundance and advice from stormologists ... may see you giving it loads on the highways and
byways .. good luck
Alb in Tellins ...

good news is that the previous owner has added some good mods;
a) 6 spoke wheels to make it look newer,
b) better brake callipers off a CBR600 or blade [so don't order new pads for a firestorm!], also need to check if he also uprated the master cylinder to match the bigger piston callipers.
c) the rear shock is either a Hagon or a new spring fitted to the standard one ... this will be better as teh std one is over sprung. ... need to find out if PO also put stiffer springs in the front as that end is under sprung!

You beat me to it !

Oh god not another blue one...You'll have to have your hair done with a blue rinse to fit in with the bluebrother hood... :biker:

On a serrious note YSS shocks also have a red spring but looking at it it's quite narrow so is prob a Hagon, the YSS spring is a bit beefier than the Hagon.
