'ullo Lads (and lasses),
I'm a Newbie that recently picked up a 2006 VTR (my second one after writing one off almost 2 years ago... apparently VTRs don't like farmer's fences. Black and beautiful and a treat to ride. The bike was destined to be used and abused but I've decided to give it a new life by "pimping" it up a little bit.
I've managed to change the indicators to LED and the tail light to LED using the weird thing from Hong Kong that everyone posts about (the wiring is a challenge without any instructions)... but I have it working...
As for me, I've been riding for over 20 years - Triumph Sprint ST for 10 of those (wonderful bike) and I am on the lookout for a serious "Chooky" as we call them here (all road/dual purpose bike such as the BMW GS 1200, Honda's latest Africa Twin (hubba hubba) and the like).
There is no doubt that Sports riding scene is being overtaken by the "off road" options.. and why not... here in Oz we have amazing scenic roads with NO police or idiots to contend with, so getting out of town every second weekend is very attractive. I'm in a Touring club (83 members)... but i JUST LOVE the VTR...
Now, can someone please enlighten me as to where that little rear brake caliper sprung metal retainer clip piece is supposed to go?? Flummoxed...
